  Took a chance. Not a lot of choices in Orangeburg unless it has a drive thru. Glad we did because the food was very good and the service excellent!  The batter they used for the chicken and shrimp dinner was the best! It was light and tasty. Cole slaw was different and good. Had double burger that just melted in my mouth. Destiny was our server and she was friendly, attentive and when asked, gave her suggestions on the menu. I appreciate that! She was great all around! I'd suggest you give this one a try.....it's much better than fast food. The only suggestion is to check the restrooms more often.
  
  So, 2 hours after eating here, my husband became ill. He is still sick and I'm giving him fluids to help. 4 hours after eating he is feeling better. Not sure if this was the food, I'm fine but I didn't eat what he did.

  Had to stay in Orangeburg overnight to attend a funeral and met a friend for dinner at Fatz. The hostess sat us in a section that wasn't even open. Then the wait staff argued with them openly. Seems they sat us at a table with no server assigned but could not leave the host stand to tell anyone because the manager told then they were not allowed to leave the host stand for any reason. So why did they seat us there??? To make a point to the manager.... But a server came by and took good care of us.  
  Unfortunately the hostess did not make her point well enough to the manager so she did it again later in the evening... This couple walked out because no one noticed them and they were never served.
  Honestly this was childish and hurting customers and servers. Not the manager. Our server had to walk around a wall to check on us because our table could not be seen from where any of her tables actually were. Until they can get their management -staff relationships under control and not where customers have to hear it and see it.... I don't recommend them. Shame because I travel  I-26 quite a bit and the 601 exit is one I life to stop at for a break. I'll look for another place to stop for a little while

  I live in Charleston, SC but travel to Aiken, SC weekly for business. This was the first time I stopped into Fatz in Orangeburg but this is what I can tell you......
  
  The Happy Hour "ALL DAY" Sign caught my eye, yes "ALL DAY" The food was really good but the hospitality and service was spectacular. The bar tender / manager - Patrick (Pat) was first class. He took care of my fiancée and I and entertained us the whole time we were there. Veteran employee Rochelle was also top notch. Just loved the service and friendliness. I travel a lot and this was just an awesome experience.
  
  Little Secret:
  
  The Code Word to get Pat Serving you is to ask for "The Great One" because that's who he is. The bloke definitely delivers.

  Stopped for a late lunch.  No one was at the front to seat us so we sat at the bar.  Service was extremely slow.  Club sandwich was gross.  Bathroom was dirty, as was the restaurant.  Whole place was dark and dingy.  No more FATZ for me.

  My family were traveling and decided to stop and eat at Fatz. The staff were friendly and our waitress was very nice and accommodating.  The food came out hot and tasted good. The only reason I am giving it 2 star is because the whole place was pretty dirty. The tables and floor  were sticky, the bathrooms were dirty and the restaurant had an odor. It was definitely one of the dirtiest restaurants that I have ever been in.
